Last year when the Westmont softball team was suffering 22 losses, a lack of hitting and run production were key reasons why.

So far in 2017, offense does not appear to be a problem for the young Warriors.

After batting just .245 and averaging just 3.3 runs per game as a team last year, the Warriors are hitting a robust .297 and averaging 6.0 runs per game through their 1st 3 outings this season.

Westmont registered a season-high for runs scored and snapped a season-opening two-game losing streak last Sat with a 10-6 victory over Evergreen Valley.

Pozas hit .328 for the Warriors last year in the person freshman season to finish 2nd on the club in batting average.
